'CCUS’(탄소 포집, 이용 및 저장·Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage) 기술은 생산 중에 나오는 막대한 탄소를 포집해 땅속에 묻어버리거나 포집한 탄소를 유용한 물질로 전환해 제품 생산에 활용(CCU·탄소 포집 및 활용)하는 기술을 통칭합니다. 이 기술은 지난 10월18일 정부가 발표한 2050 탄소중립 시나리오 최종안에서 주요하게 언급되었습니다.
