기후솔루션 소개

기후솔루션은 객관적이고 과학적인 데이터에 근거해 기후변화 문제의 실질적인 해결책을 제시하고, 연구/정책제안/소송/캠페인 활동을 통해 이를 실현합니다. 이로써 한국의 온실가스 감축을 촉진하고, 나아가 전세계가 더이상 온실가스를 배출하지 않도록 만드는데 앞장섭니다.

 

상세직무

기후솔루션의 기후외교팀은 해외 기관들과 파트너들에게 국내 기후/에너지 정책의 현황과 변화들을 실시간으로 전달하고, 해외의 기후/에너지 트렌드를 모니터링하고 분석하여 기후솔루션 팀내에도 공유합니다.

 

기후외교팀 인턴은 국제행사 (G7/G20, 유엔총회, COP등)와 주요 기후국가들에 대한 자료조사, 이해관계자 관계 분석 및 기후외교팀의 전반적인 프로젝트 지원을 하게 됩니다. 세미나/웨비나 등 온라인과 오프라인 회의를 코디네이트 하고 기본적인 한-영과 영-한 번역 업무도 지원하게 됩니다. (영문 공고로 세부 responsibility 부분 확인 요망)

 

자격요건

  • 기후 분야 경력은 필수가 아니며, 학사학위 이상이라면 전공도 무관합니다. 기후 문제에 대한 관심과 열정은 필수입니다.  
  • 학사 학위 소유자.
  • 분석적 마인드와 신중한 사고방식 (대외비 자료 관리 필수)   
  • 한국어 및 영어 능통자. 한/영 문서 작성 및 회의 진행 가능 필수

우대사항

  • 기후, 환경, 에너지, 외교정치학, 경제학 관련 전공, 연구, 또는 업무 경력 우대 
  • 정부기관, 대사관, 연구소 등 1-2년 경력 우대

Job Description(English)

 

Introduction

 

Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC) is seeking an intern for the Climate Diplomacy Team. Climate crisis will continue to be a threat to the next generation to come, and urgent actions must take place to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to tackle the problem. SFOC works in various fields not limited to energy, industry, finance, forestry and coal phase out.

 

Job description  

 

SFOC’s Climate Diplomacy Team works closely to promptly update overseas partner organizations and institutions the current climate and energy policies of South Korea. The team also monitors and analyzes the overseas climate and energy policy trends to keep our internal SFOC team updated.

 

Climate Diplomacy Intern will:

  • Conduct research on various climate diplomacy dynamics and relationship of key stakeholders covering international leadership (such as G7/G20, UN General Assembly, COP) and certain key countries.
  • Support several thematic specific projects by assisting with diverse research, meetings, and translation tasks.
  • Coordinate regular on/off-line webinars and meetings with overseas and local partners.
  • Translation of Korean to English and English to Korean documents (government documents, articles, general research, etc).

 

Qualifications  

 

  • Strong passion and interest for climate and energy transition topics.
  • No experience required but a plus if the applicant has 1-2 years of experience from government organizations, embassies or research institutions.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree. The following degrees are not required but certainly a plus: climate, environment, energy, international relations, economics.
  • Must be able to work full time.
  • English and Korean fluency. Able to write documents and conduct meetings in both languages.
