As the Head of Strategy & Development, Esther Haerim Heo leads strategic planning and funder engagement across SFOC’s programs. Previously she headed SFOC's Industry programmes on steel, methane and shipping. Prior to SFOC, Esther worked in the field of economic development, advocating for the needs and challenges of developing countries at the UN Secretariat in New York. Esther has a PhD in International Political Economy from Fudan University and a MSc from the London School of Economics. She is a Chevening Scholar (UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship. She currently teaches Energy Policy at Seoul National University's Graduate School of International Studies.
