Events [Webinar] Climate Risk Management in Financial Sector and the Role of Pension Funds 2022-02-04

We invite you to the 'Climate Risk Management in Financial Sector and the Role of Pension Funds’ webinar, hosted by National Assembly member Kim Sung Joo.

National Pension Service of Korea – the world’s 4th largest pension fund - is preparing its coal exit strategy after pledging to divest from coal last May. NPS invests 18% of its total assets in the domestic market, so its divestment guidelines will significantly influence the future of Korean financial sector’s climate risk management.

SFOC will invite speakers from major European pension funds that have already started divestment several years ahead. After the presentation, there will be a panelist discussion with different stakeholders of the Korean financial sector.
