In SFOC’s Industry Steel team, Daseul Kim works to support and engage domestic and international steel producers and consumers to decarbonize the steel sector. Daseul studied her Bachelor's in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota and her Master’s in Regional and Environmental Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest under the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program. Previously, she worked with academics, NGOs, and local governments, through which she gained diverse experience in environmental consulting, academic research, and civil society engagement related to environmental sustainability. Daseul is motivated to apply the values of energy justice to steel decarbonization efforts.
