International Communications Officer 

Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC) is seeking an International Communications Officer to expand media coverage on climate and energy issues.

Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC) is a South Korea-based group that advocates for stronger climate change policies and transition towards a fossil-free society. 
SFOC is led by legal, economic, financial, and environmental experts with experience in energy and climate policy and works closely with policymakers. 

Job description  

SFOC delivers impact by revealing urgent climate and energy issues and policy solutions through research, media messaging, and catalytic convening. 
We are seeking an international communications specialist with a passion for climate action to bring our issues and solutions to the attention of governments, financiers, businesses, and civil society. 
The international communications officer will: 

• Develop communications plans and strategies in support of our climate and energy research and campaigns  
• Draft, translate, review and distribute English-language communications materials including press releases, op-eds, updates, explainers, and social media packages   
• Build and maintain relationships with international and English-language press both in Korea and abroad 
• Monitor for media coverage and maintain media lists relevant to issue areas 
• Support coordination and promotion of seminars and webinars with international audiences 
• Draft speeches and messages for media engagements of staff and external partners 

Qualifications   

• Strong written communication skills 
• English and Korean fluency 
• Background in climate, environment or energy preferred  
• In-house or agency communications, NGO experience preferred 

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
